Hi TJM, that Community Garden in San Antonio that you linked to is lovely. I wish we had more plazas at apartment complexes in Chicago, but here, that layout is very uncommon.

Usually apartments have just underused lawn around them. It maybe because our winters are so long. Community Gardens in general (on rooftops or on vacant lots) are gaining popularity here, so it's always great to see them thriving elsewhere, too! Thanks for commenting.

I sure love the picture of a roof top garden. Amazing. For now we will just have to content ourselves with our plaza garden.

That is the BEST shampoo I ever used in my life when I was in my 20s. It was an amazing volumizing shampoo way before the word "volumizing" was used to describe certain types of hair products. It smelled like oranges and made me feel like I had the fullest head of hair ever. I was (still am) bummed that they went out of business. I remember their radio commercials on AM radio which got me to try it. Wish I could have a bottle (or case) of it right now. It was the BEST.

Thanks, Marti. I like your post on Mr/ Cornelius, as well (http://martiink.wordpress.com/2012/02/02/my-moment-with-don-cornelius/ for those keeping score). As a person who's also had the opportunity to interview/interact with people who are, to me, iconic... It's funny how sometimes something that wouldn't otherwise be noteworthy can be amplified in our mind. I am an audio producer, and I actually have one 60's soul star's answering machine message recorded someplace on my hard drive.
